The publication and review process in high impact journals in Brazil

This article seeks to clarify how the writing, publication and review process takes place in academic journals, having as target audience the beginners in the academic career, such as participants in scientific initiation programs, young master's and doctoral students. It highlights the main points to which authors should pay attention to the publication and review process. The first part is based on a collection of tips, from a systematic review on the topic. The second part, on the other hand, presents responses to a survey, carried out through a semi-structured script, with editors from some of the main Brazilian management, tourism and marketing journals. It focuses on aspects related to the submission process, how to respond to editors, reasons for rejection of articles and on how it should be the relationship between authors, editors and reviewers.The originality of the article includes practical and objective tips, contributing in a theoretical way by involving the updating of the national academic literature and bringing a practical contribution through the recommendations of editors.

RASI, in accordance with Law No. 9,610 of February 19, 1998, which amends, updates and consolidates Brazilian copyright law and makes other provisions, adopts the following conditions of the Copyright Assignment:
